Jumie is a proficient and knowledgeable education consultant with experience in both the secondary and tertiary education sector. She has a great passion for adult education and is currently undertaking a professional doctorate with a research focus on older adult learners in higher education.

Jumie is a Lecturer in BSc Practice development- Health and Social Care and along with her research, is actively engaged with policies and activities which aim to bring about improvement to pedagogical and andragogical practices in higher education. Her passion drives her commitment to ensure that her students have positive learning experiences which in turn has ensured a successful professional practice.

In addition, Jumie has over 15 years’ hands-on experience in the health and social care sector, working with families and individuals within the community. The extensive knowledge and experience gained on the field has enabled her to bring her teaching to life in the classroom which facilitates deeper learning for her students. She is also a seasoned business woman with a great acumen for entrepreneurial ventures. Spanning almost 30 years, she has a portfolio of several food businesses under her belt.
